1. Acceptance of terms

By using the North Invoice app or northinvoice.pro, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

2. Description of service

North Invoice is a mobile app that helps freelancers and small businesses create invoices, track expenses, manage estimates and clients, scan receipts, maintain a mileage logbook, and access tax summary tools. northinvoice.pro additionally offers a free, browser-based invoice generator at /invoice-generator that requires no account and stores nothing on our servers.

3. The free invoice generator

The generator at northinvoice.pro/invoice-generator is free to use, with no account, no email collection, and no limit on the number of invoices you create. We may add a quiet promotion for the North Invoice app on that page, but we will not gate the tool behind a signup or payment.

4. Free plan & subscriptions (app)

The North Invoice app offers a permanently free plan with the following limits:

• Up to 5 invoices per month
• Unlimited expenses

For unlimited invoices, the tax summary, and cloud backup, paid plans are available:

Prices may vary by region; your app store charges you in your local currency. Subscriptions are billed through Google Play Billing or Apple's In-App Purchase system (depending on which store you subscribed through) and automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

5. Cancellation & refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Google Play Store or the App Store, whichever you subscribed through. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled by Google Play or Apple under their respective policies; we do not process refunds directly.

6. Cloud backup

Cloud Backup is an optional feature included with the Monthly subscription plan. By enabling it, you authorize North Invoice to upload your app data to Google Firebase Storage on your behalf. You are responsible for the security of your Google account; we are not liable for data loss from account compromise or Firebase service interruptions.

If your subscription lapses, your existing cloud backup is kept in case you resubscribe, but is automatically deleted after 90 days with no further backup activity. This does not affect your local data on your device.

7. Tax summary

The Tax Summary feature in the app is provided for informational and planning purposes only. All calculations are estimates based on the data you enter and general tax rules for Canada and the United States. North Invoice is not a licensed tax advisor, accountant or financial institution. Always consult a qualified professional before filing a tax return or making financial decisions. 8. Acceptable use

You agree to use North Invoice and northinvoice.pro only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Create fraudulent invoices or documents
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile or tamper with the app
• Use either in a way that violates applicable law in your country

9. Your data

You retain full ownership of all data you enter into the app or the web generator. We do not claim any rights over your business data, invoices, client information or financial records. See our Privacy Policy for details on how data is stored and protected.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

North Invoice and northinvoice.pro are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee error-free or uninterrupted operation, or suitability for tax, accounting or legal purposes in any jurisdiction.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, North Invoice and its developers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from use of the app or site, including loss of data, loss of revenue, incorrect tax calculations, or business interruption.

12. International use

North Invoice and northinvoice.pro are available worldwide. Tax rules, rates and filing requirements vary by jurisdiction — the tools and guides are provided as a general aid only and do not substitute for local professional advice.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence apply.
